- Reaction 1: Mahima, who appeared for the JEE Mains 2026 Jan 21 shift 1, has reported the exam to be moderately challenging. The physics section was easier, while the maths section was the most time-consuming. The chemistry section was difficult.
- Reaction 2: Deepak Jain from Bengaluru said the overall exam was moderately challenging. Physics section had questions ranging from easy to moderately difficult. Chemistry section was mostly NCERT based and was rated difficult. Mathematics section was moderate but was lengthy.
- Reaction 3: Yash Goyal could complete Physics in half an hour and Mathematics also did not consume much time. Chemistry was tough and time consuming.
- Reaction 4: Mridul found the JEE Main Jan 21 shift exam form moderate to difficult. The Chemistry paper was difficult compared to last year's paper. The Chemistry questions paper, which generally takes 30 to 40 minutes to complele took significantly longer this year. Further, the Physics paper was difficult as usual. The Math paper was lengthy, as it is every year.

JEE Main Session 1 is often considered "easier" to get a high percentile with lower marks because many candidates (especially those in Class 12) are less prepared due to the board exam focus.
