• Dehradun has been put on high alert due to a cloudburst on the night of September 15, 2025.
• The incessant rain has lashed the city and also triggered massive destruction in the Sahastradhara area. Hoses and shops are burried in debris.
• The IT park locality is also badly affected.
• Considering the severity of the situation, the local administration has ordered the closure of all government, non-government, and private schools up to Class 12 for September 16, 2025. 
• Anganwadi centers will also remain closed on September 16, 2025.
• Thunderstorms are likely to occur at many places in Dehradun, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar districts on September 17, 2025.
• Nainital is likely to experience heavy rainfall on Wednesday.
