UPSC IES and ISS Registration Begins 2025: Direct Link, Instructions

UPSC IES and ISS Registration: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the commencement of registrations for the Indian Economic Services (IES) and Indian Statistical Services (ISS) examinations for the year 2025. Aspiring candidates can complete their UPSC IES and ISS Registration and submit the applications through the official UPSC website – upsc.gov.in. The UPSC IES/ISS Registration fee is Rs 200 for general and unreserved candidates. Females, SC/ST, and candidates with benchmark disabilities are exempted from paying registration fees. The application window for both the UPSC IES and ISS examinations will remain open until March 4, 2025. Interested individuals are encouraged to complete the registration process before the deadline to avoid any last-minute complications.

Steps to Complete the UPSC IES and ISS Registration 2025 

Candidates can follow these steps to complete the UPSC IES and ISS Registration.

• Visit the official website - upsc.gov.in.
• Click on One Time Registrations (OTR) For Examinations on the homepage.
• Provide basic information, such as the candidate's name, gender, father’s and mother’s name, minority status, mobile number, Email ID, and more. 
• After completing the registration form, click on the submit tab. 
• The UPSC IES and ISS Registration Number will be sent to the candidate.

Important Instructions for Filling UPSC IES and ISS Registration Form

Here are some of the important information that the candidate must know before proceeding to complete the UPSC IES and ISS Registration 2025.

• The OTR (One Time Registration) for Examinations has to be registered only once in a lifetime. 
• If a candidate is already registered, he/she can proceed to fill out the UPSC IES and ISS Application Form.
• Candidates can make changes in the following entries of their OTR profile during the window - Have you ever changed your name, Gender, Minority Status, and Class 10th Board Examination Roll No.
• Candidates cannot make changes to their Name (as per Class X), Date of Birth, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Mobile Number, and Email ID. 
• The eligibility criteria for IES is a postgraduate degree in economics, applied economics, business economics, or econometrics from a recognised university or institute in India or abroad, approved by the central government.
• For ISS, the eligibility criteria are a bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematical statistics, or applied statistics as one of the subjects or a master’s degree in statistics, mathematical statistics, or applied statistics from a recognised university.
