UGC NET 2025 Exam: National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to conduct the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) 2025 for the December session starting from December 31, 2025. The examination will continue until January 7, 2026, and will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across various examination centers throughout the country. The authority has released admit cards for candidates appearing on December 31, 2025, and January 2, 2026, and candidates must ensure they carry all mandatory documents to avoid entry denial at the examination center for the UGC NET 2025 Exam.
Candidates must carry a printed copy of their admit card downloaded from the official UGC NET website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Digital copies or soft copies displayed on mobile phones or tablets are not acceptable. The admit card contains essential details such as the candidate's name, roll number, application number, examination date, shift timing, exam center address, and reporting time.

Mandatory Documents Required on the Day of the UGC NET 2025 Exam
Candidates appearing for the UGC NET 2025 Exam for the December Session must carry the following mandatory documents to the examination center which are as follows:
- UGC NET Dec Admit Card 2025
- Valid Photo Identity Proof such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID Card, or Driving License
- Passport Size Photograph
- PwD Certificate (If Applicable)
- Transparent Ballpoint Pen
Entry will be strictly denied to candidates who fail to produce these documents for the UGC NET December Exam 2025. Candidates must report to their allotted examination center at least one hour before the gate closing time for completing essential pre-examination formalities, including verification of admit card and identity documents, biometric authentication, frisking, security checks, and seat allocation. Candidates arriving after the gate closing time will not be permitted entry under any circumstances.
NTA has prescribed specific dress code requirements for the UGC NET 2025 Exam to ensure transparency and smooth frisking at examination centers. Candidates should wear simple, light-colored clothing without metal accessories, embroidery, or large buttons. Shoes with thick soles or bulky designs should be avoided, and all jewelry and metallic accessories are strictly prohibited. Female candidates should avoid wearing high heels, excessive jewelry, or hair accessories, while male candidates are advised to wear formal attire such as shirts and trousers.
