UGC NET 2025 December Cutoff Released: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the results for the December 2025 session today. Along with this, the exam authorities have also released the UGC NET 2025 December Cutoff marks for JRF, Assistant Professor, and PhD. Candidates who appeared for the exam between December 31, 2025, and January 7, 2026, can now check the category-wise and subject-wise cutoff marks on the official portal - ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
The UGC NET 2025 Cutoff for December session has been released in the PDF format. It includes the details of the qualifying marks for three distinct categories: Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) & appointment as Assistant, Assistant Professor & admission to PhD, and admission to PhD only. UGC NET 2025 December Qualifying Criteria
Candidates who appeared for the December exam will be eligible for the merit list only if they secure the minimum aggregate marks in both paper 1 and 2 according to their category:

According to the UGC rule, only the top 6% of candidates who appear in both papers and secure the minimum qualifying marks, i.e., 40% for General, 35% for Reserved, are declared qualified. Further, the top 1% of total candidates appeared or around the top 10-15% of those who cleared the 6% NET criteria.
