TNTET Result 2025 Released: PDF Download Link, Qualifying Marks

Authorities have not provided any confirmation regarding the Tamil Nadu TET Result 2025. However, candidates who have appeared for the exam can expect the result to be announced between 30 Jan to 3rd Feb 2026.

The TNTET certificate is valid for a lifetime

Passing the TNTET only qualifies you to apply for teaching positions. You will need to appear for a separate competitive recruitment exam (such as for SGT or BT Assistant posts) conducted by the Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) to secure a government teaching job.

TNTET 2025 Selection is based purely on the written examination and subsequent document verification.

No, the TNTET 2025 results will not be available in offline mode. The Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) releases the results, including scorecards and final answer keys, exclusively online at the official website (trb.tn.gov.in). f the TNTET result of any candidate is on hold or is result is not being published, the individual should check the following particulars:  

• As per the Board, ‘During the computerized scanning of OMR answer sheets of the candidates, it was found that quite several candidates committed mistakes in marking /shading certain essentially required details for valuation in the OMR sheets. The answer sheets could not be evaluated and hence rejected.’
• ‘Those Candidates who have not shaded or Multiple shaded the language options in their OMR Sheets, the evaluation was done as per their options given in the application form and if there is no option in the application form their answer sheets could not be evaluated and hence rejected.’

TNTET Certificate is released on the Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) website for candidates who qualified in TNTET Paper I and Paper II. Candidates can download the certificate of marks from the Teachers Recruitment Board official website within three months of the declaration of the result. Candidates need to download the certificate by clicking on the link available under the 'Certificate of marks' section at the bottom of the page. This certificate will serve as a testimony for the TNTET-qualified candidates. 

A certificate does not guarantee the appointment of any candidate.

Step 2: Click on the link of the ‘Tamilnadu Teachers Eligibility Test (TN TET) - 2025 - Score Card’.

Step 3: A login window will appear on the screen.

Step 4: Enter the User ID and Password & click on the option of the dashboard.

• For every right answer - add 1 mark
• For every wrong answer - no marks deducted

• Roll number - The final marks are published alongside the respective roll number of the candidates. The candidate should make sure the roll number present on the result sheet is in the correct format.

Candidates who pass TNTET Paper 1 or Paper 2 receive an eligibility certificate valid for life, eliminating the need for renewal or re-examination. The certificate qualifies holders for teacher recruitment in Tamil Nadu schools but requires meeting additional criteria set by recruiting bodies, such as further exams or qualifications. It remains valid indefinitely unless TRB announces policy changes via trb.tn.gov.in. 

For the General category, the minimum qualifying TNTET marks are 60% in the TNTET Exam, while for OBC, SC, and ST categories, the minimum qualifying cutoff is 55%. 

The School Education Department issued a government order on Wednesday, reducing the minimum qualifying marks for Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test (TNTET) by 5% for both papers. 

According to the order, 5% qualifying marks have been reduced for candidates belonging to the categories of Backward Class (BC), Backward Class Muslim (BC (M)), Most Backward Class (MBC), Denotified Communities (DNC) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD). In comparison, 15% qualifying marks have been reduced for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) and the Scheduled Tribes (ST). There is no change in the qualifying marks for general category candidates, which remain at 60%.
