TNEA Rank List 2025: The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu, has scheduled to release the category-wise rank list for the TNEA Engineering Admissions 2025 tomorrow, June 27, 2025. The TNEA 2025 Rank List will be released online at the official website- tneaonline.org. The rank list will contain details such as the overall rank and community-wise TNEA rank lists for all categories, along with the individual cutoff of TNEA 2025. The steps to register for supplementary counselling of TNEA 2025 are as follows:
- Step 1: Students must head to the official website of TNEA: www.tneaonline.org
- Step 2: Search for the option ‘For Supplementary Registration Click Here’.
- Step 3: The page will be redirected to another page where students must select ‘Click Here for Supplementary Registration’.

TNEA Rank List 2025: Supplementary Counselling 2025
TNEA supplementary counselling 2025 is organized for students not allotted seats during general counselling. Students who are unsatisfied with the seat allocation in the general session can also apply. TNEA supplementary counselling round starts after the general counselling session is over. Students must register and appear for the supplementary counselling round on the specified date to obtain a seat.

TNEA Rank List 2025: Normalizing Marks
The normalisation method means that the marks scored by the candidates from different yet relevant boards of authority will be consolidated and made equal to the scores in the Tamil Nadu Board of Authority. A few points to help candidates understand the method are given below.
- For instance, if the highest score on the Tamil Nadu board by a candidate in Chemistry is 100 and the highest score on the same subject from a different board is 90, then the highest score for both will be 100.
- The factors affecting the selection are the candidate. For example, they have a higher percentage in Chemistry and Physics, the fourth optional subject, date of birth (older students will be given preference), and the random number assigned to them.

How is TNEA Rank List 2025 Prepared?
TNEA rank list 2025 will be prepared based on three criteria.
- Scores were secured in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in the qualifying examination.
- Date of Birth
- Category of the Candidate.
TNEA exam conducting authority will reduce the total marks to 200 to rank students. Maximum weightage will be from Mathematics. The rest will be shared by Physics and Chemistry in the following form.
- Physics + Chemistry= 100
- Mathematics= 100
As per the exam conducting authority, the marks obtained by the students in the relevant subjects in the qualifying examination conducted by various boards or authorities shall be equated with the marks obtained by the students in the same subjects in the qualifying examination conducted by the State Board of Tamil Nadu by adopting the method of normalization.

TNEA Rank List 2025: Admission Process
Tamil Nadu Engineering admission is based on Class 12 marks. Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling is a centralised process conducted online and at the state level. The TNEA admission process includes the following steps:
- TNEA counselling registration on the official website tneaonline.org.
- TNEA application filling and certificate uploading.
- Allotment of TNEA random numbers.
- Online certificate verification by TFC.

TNEA Rank List 2025: Counselling Process
The TNEA Counselling 2025 process includes the following process.
- Choice Selection: The candidates have to list their preferred courses and colleges in the order of preference.
- Seat Allotment: Seats are allotted as per the candidate's preferences filled during choice-filling, merit position in the admission procedure, category to which they belong, and vacant seats present at the time of allotment.
- Confirmation of Seat Allotment: Candidates who are allotted a seat need to accept the same within the time frame which will be notified subsequently.
- Downloading Allotment Letter and Reporting: After a seat is allocated, the candidates need to download the provisional allotment letter from the website and report to the college that has been allotted to them to complete and finalize the rest of the admission.
