TNEA 2025 counselling includes the following steps:

1. Choice Filling: Candidates will have to exercise their choices of colleges and branches based on their preferences. The order of choices is important and a candidate can exercise any number of choices.
2. Seat Allotment: Candidates' allotment will be based on the preferential order of choices according to their rank, community and availability of seats.
3. Confirmation of Allotment: Candidates allotted seats have to confirm the seats within the given time frame. 
4. Download provisional allotment and Report to College/TFC: The candidates who confirm their seats have to then visit the allotted college/TFC after they download the provisional allotment letter.

The TNEA General Counselling 2025 will be held from July 14 to August 19, 2025.

The TNEA 2025 merit list will be prepared based on the total scaled marks of 200. The authority will reduce the total marks to 200 as the total marks to rank students. Maximum weightage will be from Mathematics. The rest will be shared by Physics and Chemistry as given below:

• Physics (50) + Chemistry (50) = 100

The TNEA Rank List 2025 will be released today, June 27, 2025. 

TNEA 2025 admission has several top-ranked colleges that provide the courses mentioned above. The candidate must have a higher random number to get admission to top-ranking colleges. There are about 512 colleges under the TNEA 2025. Some of the best colleges are given below.

The candidates can take their documents for verification to facilitation centres across the state. There are about 52 facilitation centres across the state. Some of the main facilitation centres and their location are tabulated below. The link to the detailed list of centres is given below.

The candidates are advised to check the cut-off of previous years to understand the trend of admission. The cut-off is based on the previous year's cut-off, date of birth (older candidates get preferences), and random number assigned. The cut-off for the previous year is given below.

Sandwich courses are separate section courses offered by the TNEA 2025. The courses available in various courses like Mechanical Engineering, and Production Engineering are offered at PSG College of Technology and Electrical and Electronics Engineering under a self-financing scheme. This is a five-year course, where practical learning is in the daytime and classwork is after the evening. There is an additional fee for the practical training.

Admissions in the vocational stream have 100 seats in category 1, and 4% of seats in the second category are kept away for these courses. The candidates must have a minimum mark of 200 to get admission to vocational courses. In the 3% of seats reserved for vocational courses, 1% will be kept away from differently-abled persons, 1% will be for Orthopedically abled persons, 1% for the hearing impaired and 1% for the visually impaired.

The minimum score for admission to Anna University's B.E/B.Tech programs may differ. For final admission, students must have a score of at least 180 out of 200.

The steps to complete the verification process are as follows:

Tamil Nadu Engineering admission is based on Class 12 marks. Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling is a centralised process conducted online and at the state level. The TNEA admission process includes the following steps:

The TNEA Counselling 2025 process includes the following process.

• Choice Selection: The candidates have to list their preferred courses and colleges in the order of preference.
