The Chennai Meteorological Department (CMD) has said that light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur in the districts of Chengalpattu, Chennai, Coimbatore, Cuddalore, Dindigul, Kallakurichi, Kanchipuram, Kanyakumari, Karur, Madurai, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Pudukkottai, Ranipet, Salem, Sivaganga, Tenkasi, Thanjavur, Nilgiris, Tiruvallur, Thiruvarur, Trichy, Tirunelveli, Tiruvannamalai, Vellore, Villupuram and Virudhunagar in Tamil Nadu till 7 pm tonight.
Due to the cyclone, heavy rainfall is expected to continue in Tamil Nadu from November 21st to 26th. Very heavy rainfall is expected today and tomorrow, especially in the southern districts and delta districts of Tamil Nadu.
