As per previous year’s pattern, SSC CGL result 2025 will be released in PDF format where aspirants can search their roll numbers. For all those who have appeared for exam, the scorecards will be released later by commission.

SSC CGL Tier 1 exam was held from September 12 to 26, with a re-exam on October 14, 2025.

SSC does not release a waiting list for Tier 1. Shortlisting is based on cut-off ranks.

The SSC CGL Result 2025 Tier 1 is likely to be published shortly. Candidates who have appeared for the exam can access their SSC CGL Result 2025 PDF on the commission’s official website- ssc.gov.in. 

SSC Chairman S. Gopalakrishnan mentioned that the commission is preparing the results and will declare them in the first week of December 2025. This year, the commission is conducting the SSC CGL 2025 exam for 14,582 vacancies in various departments.

As per the selection process, Candidates who will qualify in Tier 1 exam will be able to appear in Tier 2 mains exam followed by Document Verification, followed by a Medical Examination, before the final appointment.

However there is not any official announcement about the result date, as per media reports, the result will be announced shortly tentatively before the last week of December as the Tier II exam is scheduled in December.

According to the media reports, candidates have raised objections against the provisional answer to around 4,500 questions from 45 papers for the SSC CGL Exam 2025. The Commission has to meet the expert panel for the assessment of these queries before the announcement of the result.

The selection process for SSC CGL 2025 exam is divided into two stages Tier 1 and Tier 2. Those qualifying both stages will be called for document verification/typing test, based on their post preferences.

A total of 13.5 lakh students appeared in the SSC CGL exam 2025. This year, as many as 28 lakh candidates had registered.

This examination drive will fill up 14582 Group B and C posts in different Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations of Government of India and various Constitutional Bodies/Statutory Bodies/ Tribunals, etc.

There will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.

Candidates who qualify for Tier 1 will move on to Tier 2, the main evaluative stage of the SSC CGL recruitment process. Tier 2 tests advanced quantitative aptitude, reasoning, English comprehension, and general awareness.

A separate link will be activated on the candidate login portal, allowing aspirants to view their normalised marks using their registration ID and password.

This category-wise list contains the roll numbers of shortlisted candidates and remains the primary reference for Tier 2 eligibility.

• On the homepage, look for and click on the "Result" tab, usually located on the top right or left side of the screen.
• In the results section, click on the "CGL" (Combined Graduate Level Examination) tab.
• Find the relevant link titled “Combined Graduate Level Examination (Tier-1) 2025 – Candidates Provisionally Shortlisted for Tier 2” and click on it.
• A PDF file containing the roll numbers and names of all qualified candidates will open. Download and save this file.
• Open the downloaded PDF and use the search function (usually Ctrl+F on a computer) to enter your name or roll number and check your qualification status.

After the declaration of the SSC CGL Tier 1 result 2025, candidates will get to know about the combined result. If two or more candidates have the same combined score, then SSC CGL implements tie-breaking criteria to create a merit list. Candidates who are older in age will be preferred in case of a tie. Tie-breaking criteria take the following factors into account when preparing a merit list.

• Total marks of candidates in Tier-I
• Total marks of candidates in Tier-II
• Total marks of candidates in Tier-III
• Date of birth
• Alphabetical order of names

As a result of the variation in difficulty levels across shifts for the exam, normalisation equalises marks for candidates who appeared in different shifts to prepare for the final SSC CGL Tier 2 result. Furthermore, candidates should be aware that normalising the raw marks can increase or decrease them.
