• As per the Latest Update Schools in Jaipur will remain closed on August 16 for Class 1 to 5 as directed by district collector

• The state has suffered a tragic toll of at least 20 lives due to rain-induced accidents in the last 24 hours.
• Heavy to very heavy rain is likely to lash parts of Jaipur, Bharatpur, Ajmer, and Kota divisions over the next four to five days as the monsoon remains active in the region.
• The weather forecast predicts moderate to heavy rain for most of the Bikaner division in western Rajasthan during the next three to four days.
• As a precautionary measure, schools in Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Bharatpur, Dausa, and Karauli have been shut down.
