NTA revised the NEET UG 2024 Tie-Breaking Criteria for the medical entrance exam. Candidates must note that the computerised draw policy which used to decide the rank has been scraped.
NEET UG 2024 Tie-Breaking Criteria: NTA recently revised the NEET UG Tie-Breaking Criteria 2024 for the medical entrance examination, National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Undergraduate) 2024. Candidates who have registered for the examination must check the revised criteria here.
NTA has scrapped the computerized method of determining candidates' ranks for the NEET UG 2024 Tie-Breaking Criteria. For this year, the old criteria have been implemented for NEET UG 2024. These criteria consist of allotting ranks based on the candidates' correct and incorrect answers for the medical entrance examination.

Revised NEET UG 2024 Tie-Breaking Criteria: Details
As the authority will follow the old NEET UG Tie-Breaking Criteria 2024, candidates can check the criteria mentioned below in a sequence:
- A candidate who obtains the higher marks/percentile score in Biology (Botany and Zoology)
- A candidate who obtains the higher marks/percentile score in Chemistry
- A candidate who obtains the higher marks/percentile score in Physics
- A candidate who has less proportion of the number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
- A candidate with a lower proportion of incorrect answers attempted in Biology (Botany and Zoology) compared to the correct ones
- A candidate with a lower proportion of incorrect answers attempted in Chemistry compared to the correct ones
- A candidate with a lower proportion of incorrect answers attempted in Physics compared to the correct ones
