NEET UG Round 2 Counselling Dates 2025: As notified by the Medical Counselling Committee, the Round 2 counselling for National Eligibility cum Entrance Tests (UG) has been scheduled to begin from August 29, 2025. Candidates who have upgraded their seats for better offers can participate in the second round of counselling.
According to the counselling notification, the MCC will soon release the complete schedule for Round 2 counselling, registration, web option entry, and seat allotment. When will NEET UG Round 2 Counselling 2025 commence?
The Medical Counselling Committee shared a recent update on the commencement of NEET UG Round 2 counselling dates 2025 on its website. Due to an increase in MBBS seats for the current academic session, the authority will tentatively begin the registration from August 29.

Eligibility Criteria for NEET UG 2025 Round 2 Counselling
We have provided the eligibility criteria that can qualify candidates to participate in NEET UG Round 2 counselling 2025 here:
- Candidates who haven’t participated in the Round 1 counselling for MBBS/BDS seats can take part in the Round 2 counselling.
- Those students seeking admission in medical programmes who were not offered a seat in the first allotment are eligible for round 2.
- Candidates who were offered a seat but didn’t report to their respective colleges to complete the document verification process can participate in the counselling.
- Candidates who opted for upgradation of their allotted seat in Round 1 to secure an offer at their most preferred colleges are eligible for Round 2.
To register for NEET UG 2025 Round 2, applicants need to log in to the portal using their roll number and password. Those who upgraded seats in Round 1 and are looking for betterment need not re-register for the second counselling round.
