NEET UG Counselling 2024: Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) started the seat-filling process for all the medical colleges in India from today, July 17, 2024, onwards. All the participating institutions in the NEET UG Counselling 2024 must enter the details regarding the seat availability on the official counselling website, mcc.nic.in. The authority announced the commencement of the NEET UG Seat Filling Process 2024 through an official notification that was released on July 16, 2024. As per the authority, the medical colleges under the NEET Counselling 2024 are required to submit the details on the seating capacity by July 20, 2024.
Candidates must remember that 15% of the total seats available in various medical institutions in the NEET UG Counselling 2024 will be allocated under the All India Rank Quota (AIR). Students can opt for the AIR quota to gain admission into top medical institutions in India. Along with the AIR quota, the institutions have also reserved seats for the wards of Insured Persons (IP quota) at ESIC medical colleges and Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune.
MCC has also notified all the institutions participating in the NEET Counselling Process 2024 that they can use the same user ID and password to access the NEET UG Counselling 2024 Seat Filling Process Portal. The user ID and password are the same as in previous years. MCC has also provided a facility to select the 'Forgot Password' option in case they forgot the password generated last year.
MCC has also informed us that all institutions can contact them between 10 AM and 6 PM with any queries related to the NEET UG Counselling 2024.
MCC will release the NEET UG Counselling Schedule 2024 in due time for the candidates. Students must note that the undergraduate medical counselling session will have four rounds in total. Candidates need to note that the counselling for the NEET UG 2024 is expected to start in the third week of July 2024.
