Tie-Breaking Procedure in MHT CET Result 2025
There are often instances where two or more candidates secured the same mark on the exam. In such cases, tie-breaking rules are adopted by the State CET cell.
- In a tie situation, candidates with few incorrect responses in physics, chemistry, and mathematics will be considered.
- If the tie remains, a few incorrect attempts in mathematics will be given preference.
- If the tie persists, then candidates scoring better marks in chemistry will be given a higher percentile.
- If the tie remains, candidates with better marks in class 12 will be prioritized.
- In case the tie still exists, older candidates will be given a competitive edge over others.
As the results are declared, the authorities will publish the mark vs rank list. Candidates scoring the required cutoff can move ahead in the counseling process for various participating colleges. Colleges will offer admission based on the ranks secured by candidates in the ranks.
