Heavy rains have also caused floods and waterlogging in the Marathwada region and other parts of the state. Considering the situation, the Maharashtra state government has directed all district administrations to be on high alert until September 30, 2025.
According to the IMD reports, the Nashik, Thane, Palghar, Mumbai Suburban, Raigad, and Pune regions are expected to be on Orange alert and are likely to experience heavy rainfall on September 29, 2025. Schools and Anganwadis of these Orage alert regions will most likely remain closed tomorrow. The State Emergency Operations Centre has advised citizens to remain indoors and avoid unnecessary travel.
