Karnataka School Holiday 22nd March 2025: The Karnataka Bandh is scheduled for March 22, 2025 (Saturday). The pro-Kannada groups, who have organized the bandh tomorrow, are protesting against the Greater Bengaluru Governance Bill and the recent conflicts in the Belagavi area. A recent conflict in the Belagavi area, which spurred unrest in the state, occurred when a conductor from the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) was assaulted for not speaking in Marathi. Due to the bandh, there has been a growing uncertainty surrounding the potential closure of schools. No official confirmation has been made regarding the Karnataka School Holiday on account of the Karnataka Bandh on 22nd March 2025. The Karnataka Bandh coincides with the SSLC exams, which started on March 21, 2025. Fortunately, no exams are scheduled for the bandh day. However, many schools, especially in Bengaluru, have declared a holiday as a precautionary measure. Some schools in the state will still proceed with exams for lower classes.
The Associated Managements of Private Unaided Schools expressed concerns that rescheduling or canceling exams due to the bandh may disrupt students' routines. D. Shashi Kumar, General Secretary of the Associated Managements of Private Unaided Schools, emphasized the importance of avoiding such disruptions.
It is important to note that there may be transportation disruptions since many cab services and many autorickshaws may be unavailable during the Karnataka Bandh on 22nd March. This disruption may make commuting difficult for students.
Many schools are waiting to see how things develop and will declare the Karnataka School Holiday on 22nd March 2025 accordingly. Some educational institutions might switch to online classes or change exam schedules to avoid problems. It is highly advisable for parents and students to stay in touch with school officials for updates as the bandh gets closer.
