Candidates appearing for the exam should note that exam conducting authorities have changed this year. It was conducted by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) earlier, but this year, the exam is being conducted by the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST).

Candidates must check the exam day guidelines below.
- Candidates must familiarize themselves with various tips and tricks for the exam.
- To avoid a last-minute rush, especially considering the possibility of website crashes, download the JEST 2024 admit card before the exam.
- Reach the exam center half an hour earlier than the reporting time mentioned in the admit card.
- Candidates must remember that along with the admit card, they must bring a passport-size photograph and a photocopy of proof of valid identity such as an Aadhar card or PAN card.
- Electronic devices, including mobile phones, calculators, or smartwatches, are strictly prohibited in the examination hall.
