JEE Main April 3 Exam 2025 (Live Updates): Question Paper, Exam Analysis, Instructions

The provisional answer key will be released within 4-5 days after the exam.

The Chemistry section was moderate, mostly NCERT-based. Organic Chemistry had higher weightage, while Physical Chemistry required numerical problem-solving. Inorganic Chemistry had direct formula-based questions.

Based on student feedback and difficulty analysis, the expected cutoff marks may be:

• General Category: 88-92 percentile
• OBC-NCL: 74-78 percentile
• SC/ST: 55-60 percentile
• EWS: 80-85 percentile

The exam is available in 13 regional languages which include English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

Before entering JEE Main April 3, 2025, carry your admit card, valid ID proof, and follow the dress code. Avoid prohibited items like phones or calculators. 

Authorities have allowed the carrying of eatables like sugar tablets/fruits (like bananas/apples/oranges) and transparent water bottles for diabetic candidates. However, they are not allowed to carry packed foods like chocolate/candy/sandwiches into the examination hall.

• Extra one hour for the exam (Total: 4 hours).
• Scribe facility available, if opted during registration.

No requests for exam centre changes will be entertained on the exam day.

• Ignoring NCERT Books for Chemistry.
• Spending too much time on difficult questions.
• Not practicing enough mock tests.
• Poor time management during the exam.

• MCQs: +4 marks for correct options, -1 mark for incorrect options.
• Numerical Value Questions: +4 for correct answers, no negative marking.

• Arrive at least one hour before the exam starts.
• Candidates should take their seats immediately upon entering the hall.
• Pen/pencil and rough sheets will be provided inside the hall.

The JEE Main 2025 Session 1 exam on April 3 will be conducted from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

• Shift 2: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Candidates must report to the exam centre 1.5 hours before the exam starts. Latecomers will not be allowed entry. The reporting time for the shift 1 JEE Main 2025 exam is 7:00 AM, while the exam will commence at 9:00 AM. The reporting time for shift 2 is 1 PM and the exam start time is 3 PM.

• No OMR sheet is used.
• Candidates will mark answers directly on the computer screen using a mouse.

• Avoid clothing with metallic elements like belts, buckles, or zippers.
• Caps, mufflers, or head coverings are not allowed.
• Jewellery and watches are strictly prohibited.

The question paper will divided into three sections:

• Physics: 30 questions
• Chemistry: 30 questions
• Mathematics: 30 questions

• Avoid stoles, dupattas, scarves, or metallic elements.
• Jewellery and accessories like rings, earrings, or bracelets are prohibited.
• Wear simple, comfortable clothing.
