JEE Main 2024 Session 1: Competition Going to Be Tougher with Rise in Number of Applications
The JEE Main 2024 Session 1 Competitive Level will higher than the previous years.
JEE Main 2024 Session 1 Competitive Level: A record number of candidates have registered for the JEE Main 2024 January session examination. At 12.8 lakh registrations, the number of registrations have increased by 3 lakh, in comparison to the number of registrations for the JEE Main January 2023. At such high number of participants, the JEE Main 2024 Session 1 Competitive Level is expected to be higher.
The number of registrations has surpassed 2023’s cumulative (January and April) registrations by 68,000. The race for the top ranks in the most important engineering entrance examinations will be very high.
Maharashtra. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are leading in the number of applicants. The states have 1.6 lakh, 1.3 lakh and 1.2 lakh candidates respectively. The total number of registrations from these states compared to previous years have also increased significantly.
Gender wise, around 67% of the applicants are male and 33% participants are female. The percentage of female applicants has also increased from 30.8% to 33%. The JEE Main 2024 Session 1 has also recorded a record of 19 transgender candidates.
With a 25% increase in the number of applicants, the exam will be high JEE Main 2024 Session 1 Competitive Level may be challenging for students. The number of applicants are expected to increase in the JEE Main 2024 Session 2.
