JEE Advanced Cutoff 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the qualifying percentiles for JEE Advanced after the declaration of the JEE Main results. After the examination, the JEE Advanced Cutoff 2025 for various categories are released, determining the eligibility for admission to different IIT programs. These percentiles vary for different categories (General, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, EWS, PwD). Candidates must secure a percentile above the declared cutoff in their respective categories to be eligible to register for JEE Advanced.
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced is the second phase of the engineering entrance examination for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Only the top 2,50,000 rank holders in JEE Main are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.

This is the minimum percentage of marks in each subject and the minimum aggregate percentage of marks required to be included in the rank list. Meeting this cutoff makes a candidate eligible for the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counselling process. Based on previous years' data, the qualifying cutoff percentages for inclusion in the rank list are usually around:
- CRL: 10% in each subject and 35% aggregate.
- OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS: 9% in each subject and 31.5% aggregate.
- SC/ST/PwD: 5% in each subject and 17.5% aggregate.
The cutoff for each category is different, with the CRL generally having the highest cutoff, followed by OBC-NCL and EWS, and then SC and ST. PwD candidates have further relaxation within their respective categories.
While the eligibility to appear for the exam depends on the JEE Main 2025 cutoff, the final selection is based on the performance in JEE Advanced and the subsequent category-wise cutoffs and closing ranks.
Candidates will be able to check the official JEE Advanced cutoff 2025 on the official website after the results are declared. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will also release the round-wise closing ranks for admissions to all IITs.
