JEE Advanced 2025 Paper Tough: Candidates report lengthy calculations

JEE Advanced 2025 Paper Tough: The Joint Entrance Examination(Advanced) was held across designated examination centers on May 18, 2025. As per student reaction and feedback from educators, the paper was found to be tough. Out of the three sections in Papers 1 and 2, Mathematics was challenging in Paper 2, while IIT aspirants categorised Paper 1 questions as moderate. This year, the maximum number of questions was lengthy, which required effective time management strategies to complete the paper within the given time.

• As per an IIT coordinator, Uma Shankar, paper 2 was tougher compared to paper 1. The question’s difficulty level was similar to that of JEE Advanced exam conducted in 2011 and 2018 levels. 
• Each of the papers comprised 16 questions from physics, chemistry, and mathematics subjects. 
• Compared to past years where chemistry and mathematics questions were tough, while mathematics had manageable questions. Thai year, all three sections had a high level of questions.
