IIT Madras CAT 2024 Selection Criteria: Candidates who wish to secure admission to the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras can go through the required eligibility criteria to calculate their probability of admission. The authorities take into consideration the valid score in the Common Admissions Test (CAT) at first.
Graduates or candidates with professional qualifications equivalent to that of a University degree recognized by the UGC in any discipline with first class or 60% marks for general category candidates and 55% for SC/ST/PwD earned in their degree from a recognized/reputed University.
Note that the Final year students of the above-mentioned program are also eligible to apply. These candidates will be admitted provisionally, on the condition that they meet all requirements for the qualifying degree before the start of the program if selected. They will also produce a provisional certificate of completion within two months of joining the program.
Candidates who have graduated from IIT and obtained a CGPA of 8 and above 10 are exempted from the CAT score.
