IIT Kharagpur Placements 2023 Day 1: 770 Offers Received, 6 Offers Over 1 Crore

IIT Kharagpur Placements 2023: On the first day of the IIT KGP Placements 2023, the students have recieved a total of 771 offers, including Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs). The top 6 performers on the day of the IIT Kharagpur Placements 2023 have been offered annual CTCs of more than 1 crore.

As per the official announcement, on the inaugral day of the IITKGP Placements 2023, a total of 61 Companies made offers under 121 profiles. Among the offers, there are also 19 international offers. The institute has managed to garner such a result on the first day of the placements when the current placement season is slow.

The offers have come primarily from the software, analytics, finance–banking, consulting and core engineering sectors. The major recruiters include Apple, Arthur D Little, Da Vinci, Capital One, DE Shaw, EXL Services, Glean, Google, Graviton, Microsoft, Mckinsey, Quantbox, Databricks, Square point, TSM, Palo Alto and many more. Most of the companies had selected students from the campus for internships in August 2023 and had also registered for the placement drives.

The institute is conducting the IIT Kharagpur Placements 2023 drive in hybrid mode this year, wherein many companies visit the campus to conduct the interviews and the remaining are conducting them in online mode. 

Even though it is a lean period in the market, reaching out to many new companies with a proper strategy has helped in upholding the institute's legacy in this placement process, said the chairperson of the CDC, IIT KGP. "The graduating batch of 2023-24 have shown great enthusiasm and constructive confidence towards this placement drive along with the companies who are eager to tap into the talent pool of this Institute", stated the Director of the IIT Kharagpur.
