CAT 2025 scorecards will remain valid until December 31, 2026.

The CAT score of the candidates will be eligible for MBA/PGDM/PGP, Executive MBA, FPM, PhD, MBA for Working Professionals and such other programmes.

IIM Bangalore provides financial aid to students in need of assistance. All Post Graduate Programme (PGP) students with an annual household income below INR 800,000 are eligible to apply for financial aid. Scorecard of CAT is prepared after carefully examining all objections raised against the provisional answer key. The raw score is then scaled to normalize marks of all candidates and then the scaled score is converted into a percentile.

1. Sectional Cutoffs: Even if your overall percentile is high enough, most IIMs require you to clear minimum scores in VARC, DILR, and QA individually (usually 70–80 for General).
2. Qualifying vs. Final Cutoff: The "qualifying" cutoff is just the minimum to be considered. The "final" cutoff for an actual interview call is usually 5–10 points higher.
3. Composite Score: IIMs look beyond CAT scores, weighing your 10th/12th marks, graduation score, work experience, and gender/academic diversity. 

• OBC-NC: Most new IIMs like IIM Vizag, IIM Sambalpur, and IIM Jammu have qualifying cutoffs between 70–75.
• SC/ST: Many newer IIMs accept percentiles as low as 40–55 for these categories.
• PwD: This category often sees the lowest cutoffs, sometimes falling below 45 percentile.

• IIM Jammu: Often targets a percentile around 90.
• IIM Sirmaur: Known for qualifying cutoffs in the 90–92 range.
• IIM Bodh Gaya: Typically accepts candidates starting from the 92 percentile.
• IIM Sambalpur: Minimum qualifying criteria often start around 92–95, but final calls depend on the composite score.
• IIM Visakhapatnam: Historically has a lower qualifying percentile, often around 80–82 for initial screening, though competitive calls are higher.
• IIM Amritsar & IIM Nagpur: Generally fall in the 90–95 percentile bracket for calls.

CAT percentile is determined on the basis of every candidate’s scaled scores. The scaled scores of all candidates are calculated and compared for allotting a percentile.

After the announcement of the IIM CAT Result 2025, the score-accepting colleges will start the PI shortlisting process. Candidates may have already started training for WAT-GD-PI.
