How to Calculate CAT Marks Vs Percentile?
The formula to calculate the percentile of a candidate in any exam, the following formula will be used:
Percentile = (Number Attendees Scored Less than the candidate/Total Number of Test Attendees)*100
As an example of this calculation in practice, if a test had a total of 100 candidates, and 90 candidates scored less than candidate "A," his percentile would be:
Percentile of Candidate A = (90/100)*100 = 90
Hence, the CAT percentile is the total percentage of candidates who scored less than or equal to a particular candidate in the exam. The CAT percentile 2024 refers to a particular candidate's performance in comparison to all the remaining CAT 2024 candidates.
