GCET to Be Replaced By JEE Main 2024 And NEET 2024 for Admissions: DTE Goa
In a latest decision, DTE Goa Cancels GCET. The admission to the engineering and the pharmacy courses will be based on the JEE Main and NEET 2024 exams.
DTE Goa Cancels GCET: Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Goa has announced its decision to cancel the GCET exam. The Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) used to be conducted for the engineering and pharmacy course admission. As per the later announcement, DTE Goa Cancels GCET and starting next academic year, 2024-25, the admission to BTech and BPharm at professional courses in Goa will be based on the JEE Main 2024 or NEET UG 2024.

The centralised counselling process for admission to engineering and pharmacy courses offered by the colleges in Goa will be based on the candidate's performance in the JEE Main 2024 and NEET 2024. For the GCET Engineering Admission for BE courses the Score/Rank at Joint Entrance Exam (JEE-Main)-2024 will be considered.
As for the GCET BPharma Admission the best aggregate score in physics and chemistry subjects secured in JEE Main 2024 or NEET 2024 will be the considered as the basis for admission. In the case of aspirants for the Bpharm courses, the candidates will have the option to choose JEE Main 2024, NEET 2024, or both.
The registration process for the JEE 2024 Session 1 exam is currently underway and the exam will be conducted from Jan 24 to Feb 1. The JEE 2024 Session 2 will be conducted from Apr 1 to 15. On the other hand, the NEET 2024 Exam date will be on May 5.
