Tie-Breaking Rules for Gauhati University BEd Merit List 2025

Guwahati University prepared B.Ed merit list considering the marks obtained by students in the entrance examination. There are often situations where two or more candidates secure the same marks, and to eliminate any tie, some tie-breaking rules are adopted that have been discussed below:

• Candidates with an equal number of positive and negative marks will be considered for the merit list.
• For a tie situation, candidates with the highest marks in section A/B/C/D will be given a top merit rank.
• If a tie exists, the next preference will be given to students with fewer unanswered questions in each of the sections of the entrance examination.
