GATE 2024 Commences Tomorrow Feb 3: Dos And Donts, Centre Guidelines, Things to Remember, Dress Code

GATE 2024: IISc Bangalore will conduct the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2024 starting tomorrow, Feb 03, 2024. The examination will be conducted in two shifts, i.e., the GATE 2024 Exam Shift 1 Timing is from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, whereas the GATE 2024 Shift 2 Exam Timing is from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

GATE 2024: Do's And Don'ts, Centre Guidelines

For the GATE 2024 Dos And Donts, candidates can read the following details below:

Do's

• Candidates must check carefully and choose their questions so that they can solve those questions first with ease.
• Students must attempt the Aptitude section in the last as it requires more time and reasoning.
• Candidates must make a mental note of the formulas (before the exam) that are used often in the examination.

Don'ts

• Do not cover new topics at the last moment. Focus on revising the notes for the topics that are already covered.
• Do not waste time on difficult questions. Try solving easy questions, which require less time comparatively, and then proceed to the difficult ones.
• Do not forget to save the answer after marking it during the test.

According to the GATE Exam Centre Guidelines 2024, candidates must follow the general GATE 2024 Exam Instructions issued by the authority. Moreover, candidates must reach the exam centre at least 30 minutes before the start of their examination for the respective shift. Candidates must find their allotted seat with their roll number mentioned on it. Candidates must not create any kind of unnecessary commotion in the exam hall while they are at the allotted exam centre. Lastly, candidates must adhere to all the instructions of the invigilators.

GATE 2024 Things to Remember, Dress Code

• Candidates must carry the GATE Admit Card 2024 on the exam day. Candidates cannot appear for the examination without the official admission ticket.
• Candidates must appear at the exam centre at least 30-90 minutes before the test starts.
• Candidates can log in 20 minutes before the GATE Exam 2024 starts. Candidates can use the extra time at the exam centre to log in and read the test-related instructions. 
• Candidates must bring the necessary items for the exam, such as a transparent water bottle, pen, pencil, and hand sanitiser.

As per the GATE Exam Dress Code 2024, all candidates must wear simple clothes and sandals/flip-flops on the exam day. The clothes must not have too many pockets, and the shoes must not cover the whole feet of the candidate.
