DUSU 2025 Election LIVE Updates: The Delhi University Students’ Union Election 2025 has officially begun today, September 18, 2025. DUSU 2025 Election LIVE Updates are here for students. The voting is scheduled to take place in two shifts from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM (for day college students) and from 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM (for evening college students). This year, around 2.75 lakh students across 52 colleges are eligible to cast their vote. The results will determine the president, vice-president, secretary, and joint secretary of DUSU, along with other college-level representatives.
DUSU 2025 Election is regarded as the largest student poll in the country. This year, 21 students are contesting for four major panels - Presidet, Vice-President, Secrretary, and Joint-Secretary. Around 700 Electronic Voting Machines across 196 polling stations are being used to conduct voting. Further, to ensure safe elections, 600 policemen, CCTV cameras, and drone tracking have been put in place. The counting of votes is scheduled for Friday, September 19, 2025.

After numerous scrutiny and withdrawal, the presidential race has been shaped between three major candidates - Aryan Man (MA Library Science Student) from Akhil Bharatiya Vidya Parishad (ABVP), Joslyn Nandita Chowdhary (PG in Buddhist Studies) from The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), and Anjali (student from Indraprasth College) from the SFI-AISA alliance.
For the first time in twenty years, women candidates are in the race for the presidential post. There are other candidates and posts in the race. The Delhi High Court has released guidelines. It has imposed restrictions, banning candidates from conducting victory rallies.

The DUSU 2025 Election peacefully concluded today in two shifts. Around 2.75 lakh students cast their vote at 195 booths across 52 polling stations. Results will be declared tomorrow for the four key panels - President, Vice President, Secretary, and Joint Secretary, along with other college-level office representatives.
DUDU 2025 Election voting ends at 7:30 PM today. Candidates will have to wait till tomorrow for the result. Voting counting will begin at 8:00 AM onwards in the Multipurpose Hall, University Sports Stadium, North Campus, University of Delhi.
ABVP has filed a police complaint against former DUSU President Raunak Khatri over allegedly entering KMC forcibly and assaulting a female student.

Following the Delhi High Court order dated 2018, which was reinforced in 2024, Delhi University has notified strict guidelines for conduct of DUSU Elections 2025.
- DU has constituted a University Committee for Prevention of Defacement of Property (UCPDP) to oversee compliance across all campuses.
- The election will be conducted in strict compliance with Lyngdoh Committee guidelines.
- Each DU college has been asked to constitute a committee to monitor poll-related activities.
- DU college principals have been appointed to act as "anti-defacement heads" for their respective campuses. They will ensure that posters, banners, wall writings, and hoardings are not permitted within or around the college.
- Contesting candidates had to submit a written undertaking along with nomination forms stating that they and their supporters will not indulge in defacement or violation.
- Violations of rules could attract a fine of around Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 and up to Rs 1 lakh.
According to a post on X by Gagan Yadav, Founder and National President of IRO, DU student Divyanshu Yadav will contest for the presidential post from ballot number 4 as an independent candidate.

Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has been accused of continuing campaigning even after the deadline was over 24 hours ago.
Out of 82 candidates who filed nominations for four key panels, only 73 were found valid:

- Vice President - 15 candidates
- Secretary - 20 candidates
- Joint Secretary - 15 candidates

The Delhi University has issued an important advisory for all staff, facility, and students regarding vehicle parking.

Nearly 700 Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) across 195 polling stations are used for conducting the elections.
The NSUI Presidential candidate Joslyn Nandita Chowdhary posted a video on X where the name of "Aryan Maan", presidential candidate of ABVP, was marked with blue ink.
