Delhi School Holiday 5 September 2025 Due to Flood: Heavy rains in Delhi and other surrounding states has led to a sharp rise in the Yamuna River water level. This has led to flooding in many areas surrounding the Yamuna River. This includes the Civil Lines area of Delhi, Bela Road, Sonia Vihar, and Yamuna Bazar. While the government is fully prepared to deal with the situation, they may announce a Delhi School Holiday on 5 September 2025, Due to Flood if the condition worsens. 

The Yammuna River swelled past 207 meters, and as a result, around 12,000 people were relocated as floodwater entered their homes. • IMD (Indian Meteorological Department) has not issued any weather alerts for Delhi for September 5, 2025. 
• The Yamuna river water level reached 207.48 metres at 7 am on September 4, 2025, near the old Railway Bridge.
• Areas close to the Delhi Secretariat are submerged in flood water
• Mayur Vihar Phase-1, which is the low-lying area, was also submerged in water.
• The water level remained constant between 6 and 8 AM and is expected to decrease. 
• The NDRF team was deployed after Madanpur Khadar Vishwakarma Colony of South East Delhi was submerged in flood water.
• Neeli Chatri Temple Road, near the old iron bridge, is closed.
• The approach road leading to the Yamuna Bank Metro Station was currently inaccessible due to escalating water levels of the Yamuna River.
• Several parts of Ring Road, Civil Lines, Bela Road, Sonia Vihar, and Yamuna Bazar are submerged.
• If the weather continues to worsen in Himachal Pradesh and high volumes of water release from the Wazirabad and Hathnikund barrages, the situation may worsen.
