CUET Results 2024: The commencement of the semester for first year students at Delhi University (DU) is now expected to be delayed until August 16, 2024. This was announced by Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh on Saturday, who explained that the delay is due to the late release of the Central University Entrance Test (CUET UG) results. Originally, the semester was supposed to start on August 1, 2024 but the delay in results has affected the schedule. However, Vice Chancellor Singh confirmed that classes for students in other semesters will still begin on August 1, 2024 as planned.

"The result has not been announcsed, but it will impact the academic calendar for the students for the first semester in courses where admission is through CUET-UG. The semester will likely start on August 16. For other semesters, we will start the semester on August 1," DU Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh said, as reported by news agency ANI.
When asked whether the university has received any communication from the crisis-struck National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts CUET UG, Singh said: "We have not received any communication from the National Testing Agency (NTA) about the result."
The CUET UG results were supposed to be released on June 30, 2024, but they haven't been announced yet. The delay is because the NTA is dealing with accusations of paper leaks for NEET UG and UGC NET, which has affected the timing of the CUET UG results.
The CUET (Common University Entrance Test) exam is conducted for admission to undergraduate programmes in central universities and other participating institutions across India. It serves as a common entrance test for students seeking admission to various courses, ensuring a standardised selection process based on their performance in the exam.
