CLAT 2026 Round 1 Seat Allotment: The Consortium of NLUs has published the Round 1 seat allotment result for Common Law Admission Test today, January 7, 2026. Candidates who have registered can check their seat status from the official website. The selected list of candidates can be reviewed by clicking on the preferred NLU. CLAT 2026 Round 1 Seat Allotment is based on CLAT rank, seat matrix, NLU preferences, and reservation criteria. 

As the allotment is now out, candidates have to select from three choices that include freeze, float, and exit. Guidelines Regarding CLAT Round 1 Allotment 2026

Here are some necessary guidelines that students can review to ensure acceptance for a seat for CLAT 2026 Round 1 allotment without any hassle:

• The allotment list has been shared for all the participating NLUs at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
• Candidates can review their admit card number, category, and All India Rank on the allotment list.
• Candidates who wish to accept their seat must choose the freeze option by logging in to the online portal using their registered ID. 
• Those not satisfied with the allotment can upgrade their seat to secure better options in the subsequent round. To upgrade, candidates must choose the float option.
• Pay the seat confirmation fees of Rs 20,000 by the due date.
• Submit the required documents for the verification process. 
• Report to the respective college to complete the admission process.

All the allotted candidates are requested to submit their willingness and pay the confirmation fee between January 7 and 15, 2026, before 1 PM. Candidates are advised to download the seat allotment letter, confirmation fee payment receipt, and University admission fee receipt for future reference. The seat confirmation fees of Rs 20,00 will be adjusted in the University admission fees. Further, if a candidate chooses to FREEZE their seats allotted, they need to pay the remaining university fees by April 24, 2026.
