The AP PGECET 2025 counselling is conducted in a minimum of two phases, with candidates participating in the first phase and potentially a second phase if they are unsatisfied or were not allotted a seat. Candidates who did not secure a seat or are not satisfied with the seat allotted in the first round are eligible to participate in the second phase of counselling, which takes place after the first round's self-reporting process is complete. Similar to other counselling processes, there might be additional rounds, such as a mop-up round, if vacant seats remain after the initial phases.
