Mostly the papers are divided into 3 sections: 

• Section A: 10 Very Short Answer Questions - 2 Marks each (No choice, all compulsory).

Candidates must score at least 35% in each subject to pass.

If there is a spelling mistake in the name, report it immediately to the college principal. They will coordinate with BIEAP to issue a corrected version or an authorization letter.

In such a case candidates must paste a recent passport-sized photo and get it attested by their college principal before the exam.

Candidates must follow this answering pattern as stated by the board officials:

• While answering questions having parts, candidates must answer it in order in one place.
• If a candidate decides to cancel an answer, they must strike it once and write a note "struck off by me" in the margin. The candidate must not sign there or put their Register Number.

• Candidates must match their Register Number, Name, Subject and Medium printed on the Hall Ticket with the contents on the OMR bar-coded sheet supplied to them.
• Candidates must cross-check all the details before affixing their signature.
• The OMR Sheet must be stapled to the answer booklet before the commencement of the examination. 
• Tampering with Part-III of the OMR Sheet will result in cancellation of the candidate’s performance without any notice.

Candidates must note that they will be provided with an answer booklet of 24 pages. Other than this, candidates will not be provided with any additional answer sheets, because they may get misplaced or damaged. 

According to the official notification, students must be permitted to enter the examination centre 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam. No candidate shall be allowed into the exam centre after 9:00 a.m.

If the candidate's name is missing even after the payment of the examination fee, the Principal must send the name to the BIE to obtain the allotment of the Registered Number and Examination Centre through RIO/DIEO.
