AILET 2026 First Selection List: The National Law University, Delhi, has shared a direct link to the first selection list on its portal today, January 8, 2026, at 6 PM. Registered candidates are only considered when preparing the list of provisionally selected candidates for allotment. Seats are allotted based on the candidate's rank in the entrance category, seat availability at participating colleges, and college preferences chosen by the candidates.
Candidates who have been offered seats as per their first preference can log in to the portal to download their allotment result. As part of the admission process, selected candidates must pay a confirmation fee and complete the reporting formalities by a given deadline. Which Options to Avail after the AILET First Selection List Release?
For the reference of students, we have provided details on the options that must be chosen after the release of AILET 2026 first selection list:
- Freeze: Candidates, after reviewing their allotments, must log in to the online portal of NLU Delhi and choose to proceed with the admission process. If a candidate is satisfied with their offered seat, they can freeze their seat and pay a confirmation fee of Rs 50,000.
- Float: This option can be chosen by students who don’t wish to move ahead with their allotment. These candidates can choose the float option and pay the confirmation fee to get better allotments in the subsequent rounds.
- Exit: Candidates who are not willing to exit the counselling process can select this option.
