The AIBE 20 (XX) 2025 syllabus covers 19 law subjects, with major emphasis on Constitutional Law, Criminal Procedure Code, and Code of Civil Procedure. The 2025 exam incorporates the new criminal laws: the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA), which replace the IPC, CrPC, and Evidence Act, respectively.
Earlier, the AIBE XV (14) exam was conducted as an open-book exam, wherein candidates were allowed to carry books, notes and study materials to the exam centre. Now, the open book exam has been cancelled by the All India Bar Examination. For the AIBE XVI (15) exam, candidates cannot carry any study materials. Only BARE Acts Notes are permitted.

- Carrying the AIBE 20 admit card 2025 is compulsory, and the exact copy needs to be produced in front of the exam invigilator.
- Candidates must report to the AIBE XX exam centre by 8:30 AM, and they will not be allowed inside after 10:15 AM.
