Admission in IIM Ahmedabad with 97 Percentile in CAT 2024

1. Preliminary Screening

Candidates who meet the minimum sectional and overall CAT cut-off for IIM Ahmedabad, they will be considered eligible to be selected for the future rounds of selection. The qualifying criteria for IIM Ahmedabad is 80 for the candidates belonging to the general category. The ST, SC, PwD and other candidates can expect calls for admission with lower percentile also. 

2. Calculation of Composite (CAT Scores + Profile)

After filtering out candidates who do not meet the minimum cut-offs, the authorities evaluate them based on their CAT 2024 performance as well as their profiles. Subsequently, a candidate's composite score is calculated which is used to shortlist them for the Academic Writing Test and Personal Interview round.

3. The Academic Writing Test + Personal Interview (AWT-PI) Round

IIM Ahmedabad shortlists candidates for the AWT-PI round. They conduct two rounds to shortlist for the AWT-PI round. In Round 1, the top 5% from each of the academic categories (AC) are shortlisted based on their composite scores. In Round 2, the additional number of candidates will be shortlisted for AWT & PI based of the composite score as they need to meet the minimum cut-off set by the officials for the average of your 10th and 12th marks.

4. Final Selection

Once the AWT-PI round is complete, IIM Ahmedabad will generate a new composite score based on the candidate's performance to make the final decision.
