UPSC Mains 2019 DAF Submission to Commence on August 1


The Official Announcement released states that the online application process for UPSC Civil Service Mains Exam – Detailed Application Form (DAF) 2019 will commence from 01 August 2019.

All the successful candidates who have qualified in the UPSC (Prelims) 2019 Exam, they will have to fill up and submit the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I) for Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2019. The candidates who have been declared successful have to first get themselves registered on the relevant page on the website

The Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2019 will be conducted on 20, 21, 22, 28 and 29 September 2019 across the country. Important instructions for filling up of the DAF-I and its submission will also be available on the website. The last date to fill the application form is 16 August 2019.

UPSC Mains 2019 Application Form Details

  • The application form Details have to be filled after ensuring that the candidates fulfil the UPSC IAS eligibility criteria
  • UPSC IAS Application fee has to be paid via online/offline. 
  • Candidates have to choose the exam centres of their choice and mention it in the UPSC IAS Application Form.  
  • The candidates have to mention in the UPSC IAS Application form if he/she has any disabilities. 
  • Candidates should also specify the medium in which the exam would be written in the application form.
  • The candidates should also choose the optional subject that they would be opting for in the UPSC IAS Mains Examination

Image Format – The image to be uploaded in the UPSC IAS application form should be in JPEG format and the size of the image should between 3KB to 40KB.

UPSC IAS 2019 Exam Admit Card

Candidates will be able to download UPSC Civil Service Mains Exam Admit Card 2019 around 3-4 weeks before the commencement of the exam. The admit card shall have all the details about the candidate and the exam such name, address and the examination venue. It is important to note that without the admit card, no candidate will be allowed to appear in the examination hall.

If a candidate fails to submit an online detailed application form, he or she will not be allowed to appear in the UPSC Civil Service Mains Exam 2019. About Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Exam

The UPSC Civil Services or UPSC IAS Exam is conducted for the recruitment of Group A & B officers in various departments of Govt of India. The services into which the recruitment is made are IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS etc. The exam is considered one of the toughest exams in the country as the Commission receives around 1 million application of people fighting for about 100 seats.

The exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission which is headquartered at Dholpur House, in New Delhi. The exam consists of Three stages: Prelims, Mains and the Interview. Finally, candidates whose name is there in the merit list are called for the training at respective service training centres.
