Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education has postponed the UP class 10 and class 12 board exams due to a spike in COVID-19 cases in the state. The decision to postpone the exams was made in a meeting with the Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath.
Earlier, the UP board class 10 exams were to be conducted from 8 May to 25 May 2021, while the UP class 12 exams were scheduled from 8 May to 28 May 2021. But now, the government has postponed the exams, and no official date for the exam has been announced yet.
Students appearing for the exam are advised to keep checking the official website to get the latest news and updates regarding the UP board exams. As per the report, the board will declare the decision regarding the new exam dates for classes 10 and 12 soon, said the deputy chief minister, Dinesh Sharma.
A new timetable will be issued after considering the COVID-19 cases in the state. A total of 29,94,312 students will appear this year for the class 10 UP board exam, while 26,09,501 students for the class 12 exams.
