According to the media, UP Board 10th and 12th result 2020 will be announced ( tentatively) in the first week of June, by Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad. In an interview to a news18, UP Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma, confirmed the declaration of results for UP Board 10th and 12th in June 2020. The exams for the same was held in February. The UP board results for classes 10th and 12th will be declared on the official website- upresults.nic.in
Postponement of evaluation process due to lockdown
Dinesh Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister, in his interview given to News18, was quoted saying that UP board had suspended all the paper evaluation work since the lockdown announced on March 19, 2020. But he also assured that UP board has already arrived at a plan to resume the paper evaluation for 10th and 12th Board exam, soon after the lockdown is lifted by the Central Government.

Media has worked out on this issue and arrived at a prediction of when the results will be announced. Considering the current situation of lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic, the board may require approximately twenty to twenty five days to complete the evaluation process and another ten days to process, verify and publish the final UP Board result for classes 10th and 12th. This pushes the date of declaration of results to the first week of June.
Rumours around Promotion
A fake circular went viral on social media reporting that the UP board has decided to promote all the students of classes 10th and 12th without the announcement of results. But it was quickly clarified at the Board’s end. The board clarified that it will resume the paper evaluation work once the lockdown is lifted.
UPMSP (Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad), an UP government administered educational authority which conducts standard 10 exams (or secondary school level exams) and standard 12 exams (or inter-college level exam) for all the schools affiliated to it. UP board is also known as the Board of High School and Intermediate Education Uttar Pradesh (BHSIEUP) and is the largest education board in Asia in terms of the total number of students.
Exams for Class 12 and Class 10 are conducted every year in different test centres throughout the state. Approximately 35 lakh students appear for the UP High School (10th) exams and around 30 lakh students appear for the Uttar Pradesh 12th exams. Apart from conducting board exams, the UPMSP is also responsible for giving recognition to schools and suggesting courses and textbooks for the affiliated schools.
