UP B.Ed JEE 2020 Date Announced, Exam To Be Held On July 29

The University of Lucknow has announced the revised date for conducting UP B.Ed. JEE exam 2020. According to the notification, the B.Ed entrance exam is going to be conducted on July 29,2020. Earlier, the UP B.Ed JEE 2020 exam was scheduled to be conducted on April 8 and was later postponed to April 22. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent lockdown within the country, the university announced the postponement of the entrance exam until further notice.

In addition to announcing the updated date for the exam, the university further added that all the necessary precautions and guidelines set by the government and the health department will be strictly followed at the time of exam conduction. 

UP B.Ed JEE 2020 Exam Centre Change

On June 14, following the repeated postponement of exams, the University of Lucknow extended the last date for the availability of application window correction for changing the exam centres. According to the notification, the last date to fill the B.Ed JEE 2020 exam centre was June 19, 2020. Earlier, the application window for updating the exam centre choices was between June 8 and June 14.

Candidates can opt for three exam centres of their choice and the final test centre alloted to the candidate will be subject to availability. According to the information released by the officials, over 1,10,000 candidates availed the opportunity to utilise the application window correction facility for requesting a change in examination centre on the official website. The number of exam centres set up by the University of Lucknow to conduct the exam is also said to have increased from 900 to 1900 to adhere to social distancing guidelines. 

About UP B.Ed JEE 2020 

UP B.Ed JEE is a state level entrance exam that is conducted by the University of Lucknow for those candidates who are seeking admission to the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme in any of the 16 participating colleges within the state of Uttar Pradesh. This year, over 4.5 lakhs of candidates are said to appear for the UP B.Ed entrance test. UP B.Ed JEE 2020 is an offline test that is conducted in two shifts – morning and evening for a total duration of 6 hours.

UP B.Ed JEE 2020 consists of two papers, each paper consisting of 100 multiple choice type questions carrying two marks. The entrance test will be marked out of 400 marks. There will be a negative marking where 1/3 of the mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. Candidates will be provided with an option to attempt the entrance test in either Hindi or English. Prior to the entrance test, candidates who have successfully completed the application process will be issued an admit card. The date for the release of admit card is yet to be announced by the board.
