TS EAMCET and ECET 2020 Postponed, New Dates to be Announced Later


The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) has postponed TS EAMCET and TS ECET examinations until further notice. As per the report, TS EAMCET 2020, scheduled for September 9th, 10th, 11th, and 14th, and the ECET exam scheduled for August 31st has been postponed. The dates for examinations were announced on August 11th by Telangana Education Minister Sabita Indra Reddy.

All the entrance exams of Telangana were earlier scheduled in May but had to be postponed due to the pandemic. The exams have again been postponed due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation and complications arising out of it. The new dates for the examinations will be announced in due course of time. 

TSCHE has also extended the final date to fill out the TS EAMCET 2020 Application with a late fee up to August 31st. Candidates can now fill out application forms up to the extended period. TS EAMCET 2020 application form is available online on the official portal eamcet.tsche.ac.in and applications for the TS ECET exam were closed in July.


TS EAMCET is conducted for admission in engineering, agriculture and pharmacy courses. The exam is conducted online as a computer-based test. Around 2,15,000 students appear for the TS EAMCET exam for Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy courses combined. Telangana State Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS ECET) is a State Level Entrance Test conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUHon behalf of Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) for admission into BE/ B.Tech/ B.Pharm for Diploma Holders.
