Amidst the sudden spike in COVID-19 cases and the uncertain academic calendar, a very important decision has come from the conducting body of TS EAMCET 2021. The Higher Education Department of the Telangana Government stated that they will not give the usual 25% weightage to Intermediate marks for TS EAMCET 2021.
The department also released a notice stating the postponement of intermediate exams. The exams were scheduled from 1 May 2021 to 19 May 2021. However, the panel will meet in June 2021 and then make a decision on the possibility to conduct the exam, taking into account the situation then. In addition, 15 days before conducting the exams, the authorities will notify the students regarding the same.
Additionally, the education board further stated that the students of the second year who have backlogs will be allotted minimum passing marks. White for the first-year intermediate students, they will be promoted without conducting the exams. Because of all these decisions, the 25% weightage given to the intermediate marks shall not be considered this year in TS EAMCET 2021.
