Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission released the results of Group IV examinations conducted for the posts included in the Combined Civil Service Examination-4
TNPSC Group-4 examinations were conducted on 1st Sept. 2019 to recruit for the 6,491 vacant seats in Village Administrative Officer (VAO), Junior Assistant, Bill Collector, Field Surveyor, Draftsman, Typist and Steno-typist posts in the state. Approximately 15 lakh applicants attended the exam, anticipating the huge traffic that is to come TNPSC has provided with two servers for the applicants to check their results.
Steps to download TNPSC Group 4 results
Go to TNPSC official website tnpsc.gov.in
Find the link named ‘POSTS INCLUDED IN COMBINED CIVIL SERVICES EXAMINATION -4 (Group-IV Services)…..RANK POSITION‘ and click on it.
Candidate will be asked to enter their ‘Register Number’ on the next page.
Enter the register no. correctly and click the submit button.
Candidates will be able to access their ‘Marks and Rank’ on the next page.
Now that the Group-4 exam results are published, TNPSC will proceed with the remaining process for recruitment. Shortlisted candidates’ list will be published in the official TNPSC website. Shortlisting will be done on the basis of the marks obtained by candidates in the written examination. Once the list is released, selected candidates will be asked to upload their certificates for onscreen verification.
After verification, the eligible candidates will be called for counseling after which they will be allotted the post and Unit / Department in the order of rank and category to which they are eligible as per the vacancy position.
TNPSC or Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission is the governing body of all the job recruitments to public sector in the state. TNPSC came into existence in 1929 under the Act of the Madras Legislature and is the first Provincial Public Service Commission in India. Every year TNPSC conducts 14 different exams acccording to the vacanies in different Government sectors.
TNPSC holds two main responsiblities:
(i) To conduct examinations for appointment to State/Subordinate services within its purview.
(ii) Consultation for government on all matters relating to the recruitments to the Civil Services in the state and on the principles to be followed in making appointments to civil services and posts, and while making promotions and transfers from one services to another.
