
On Monday, Mr. K A Sengottaiyan, the Tamil Nadu School Education and Youth Welfare Minister said that the “decision on schools reopening in the state since the COVID19 pandemic enforced lockdown would be taken after obtaining suggestions from students and parents by the Chief Minister.”
The minister also mentioned that “On behalf of the School Education Department, suggestions will be obtained from students, parents, and Parent-Teacher Associations about reopening the schools in Tamil Nadu. They will be collected by this weekend.”
As there has been a nationwide lockdown since the month of March, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, all the educational and other institutions were also closed. The education minister also mentioned that the schedule for conducting the practical examination for classes 10 and 12 would be announced soon.
