The last week saw many updates in the education sector. Based on the results being declared for the major exams like GATE, GPAT, JEE Main February 2021, and more, here is a weekly recap from the education field:
The National Testing Agency has finally announced the dates for NEET 2021. As per the official announcement, NEET 2021 will be conducted on 1 August 2021. The official notification also confirmed that the exam will be conducted in an offline mode. The final schedule, with all the important details and information, will soon be available on ntaneet.nic.in the official website.
The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has postponed the final exams of classes X and XII due to rising cases of COVID-19. Punjab is witnessing a sudden increase in COVID-19 cases from the last few weeks. The exams have been postponed from April to May; that is a month later. As per the new schedule, class 10 exams will commence from 4 May 2021 instead of 9 April 2021. While the class 12 exams will begin on 20 April 2021 instead of 22 March 2021.
Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date for the registration process of the IGNOU January 2021 session. Candidates can now register until 31 March 2021.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has extended the deadline for submission of MPhil and PhD thesis. The submission deadline has been extended by six months. In line with this, the UGC further directed the universities across the country to further extend the deadline to 31 December 2021.
The National Institute of Fashion Technology has declared the NIFT 2021 result for the written test on 17 March 2021, online on its official website. In order to check their results, candidates will have to visit nift.ac.in the official website. Candidates who appeared for the written test of NIFT 2021 can check their results by logging in to the admission portal using the requisite credentials.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the result for the paper 2 of JEE Main 2021. Candidates can check the results by visiting jeemain.nta.nic.in the official website. In order to check the results, candidates will have to login using their application number and date of birth.
The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has opened the correction window for the NEET PG 2021 application form. Candidates who have registered for the exam can edit the details in the application form online on the official website. The admit card will be released on 12 April 2021 and hence, the exam will be conducted on 18 April 2021.
The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay has declared the GATE 2021 result on 19 March 2021 online on the official website. IIT Bombay has released the results for all the subjects and candidates can check them by visiting gate.iitb.ac.in the official website. In order to check their scores, candidates will have to visit the official website and log in using their enrollment number and password. IIT Bombay will release the scorecard for GATE 2021 soon.
Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru has released the IIT JAM 2021 result on 20 March 2021. The result is available to check on jam.iisc.ac.in the official website. Candidates can check their results by visiting the official website and logging in using the requisite login credentials.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the GPAT 2021 result on 19 March 2021. The results are available to check from gpat.nta.nic.in the official website. In order to check the results, candidates will have to visit the official website and log in using the requisite credentials. Along with the result, the National Testing Agency has also released an official notification consisting of the statistics of GPAT 2021.
