Results for ICAI CA Foundation and Intermediate to be Announced Soon

As per the latest update, the Telangana State Education Board has decided to postpone the Class 10 (SSC) and Class 12 (Inter) examination for 2021. The Telangana state class 10 exam, which is conducted by the Telangana State Board of Secondary Education (BSET), while the Class 12 or Inter exams, conducted by the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE), unanimously decided to postpone the Board examinations to May 2021 and April 2021 respectively.

As per the timetable released earlier, the Board examination was scheduled for March 2021, but after verifying the viable prospects for conducting the examinations early, the Board decided to postpone the same for valid reasons.

Why did the Telangana State Education Board Decide to Postpone the Exams?

Special Principal Secretary, Department of Education, Chitra Ramachandran, in communion with the other Board members, put forth the following reasons as imperative in postponing the SSC and Inter examinations:

  • The entire curriculum for SSC (Class 10) and Inter (Class 12) is set in a manner that would require at least five months of exhaustive study.
  • The completion of the syllabus will only be possible if the students resume classes from 1 December 2020.
  • Keeping in mind the sudden spike in COVID-19 cases post the reopening of schools in some states, the Board was compelled to rationalise the decision once again.
  • Thus, if the classes aren’t resumed by 1 December 2020, then the examination can not be conducted in March 2021.
  • Moreover, the Board has decided not to introduce any changes or liquify the syllabus/curriculum for the academic year 2021, as this would take a toll on the students aspiring to clear various competitive examinations.
  • The Board further mentioned that in keeping in line with the conduction of Class 12 or Inter examinations, the state-level entrance examination would be scheduled in May 2021.
  • A revised timetable will be made available to students shortly on the official website.
  • Candidates are thus advised to keep visiting the official website regularly for the latest updates.
