Public transportation and road blockages can restrict the swift movement of students during the day of examination. In the scenario where the farmers declared a pan India protest on 6 February 2021 called ‘Chakka Jam’, IIT Mumbai has issued support letters to avoid any inconvenience. Therefore, the support letter is vital for the students to carry on the day of the exam.
The support letter ensures that the candidate has no trouble in movement on the day of the examination, issued by IIT Mumbai for GATE 2021. IIT Mumbai has already sent an email titled ‘GATE 2021 Update for 6th Feb 2021 Exam’, and SMS to the candidates for examinations on 6, 7, 13 and 14 February 2021.
How to Download the Support Letter?

There is a possibility of three hours long traffic on 6 February 2021 due to the ongoing farmer’s protest. A ‘Bandh’ also has been called around the outskirts of Delhi. To avoid any disturbance to candidates, IIT Mumbai decided to issue a support letter.
Candidates should carry the support letter along with a valid admit card. Please note that the ID proof should be any of them mentioned in the GATE admit card and PwD certificate (if necessary). The ID should be original and non-expired.
