SNAP 2020 Exam Analysis: Questions Moderate; Time a Challenge

The much-awaited SNAP 2020 exam was conducted successfully on Sunday, 20 December 2020. The test is conducted for admission to the MBA courses offered by Symbiosis Business Schools, one of the premier institutes in the country. The test was conducted smoothly without any element of surprise, and with strict adherence to all the laid down COVID-19 SOPs and protocols. As per the analysis of many examinees, the questions asked were moderately difficult. Managing the time was a bit of a challenge for some because of the drastic change in the exam pattern.

Quantitative Ability

This section comprised of 25 questions from a wide variety of topics including inequalities, trigonometry, linear equation, algebra, mensuration, geometry, progressions, arithmetic, among others. The topic was designed to test the knowledge of the candidate in regards to different theorems and formulas.

Logical Reasoning

The Logical Reasoning section of the SNAP exam consisted of moderate to tough questions from topics such as coding/decoding, syllogisms, analogy, critical reasoning, blood relations, mathematical reasoning, seating arrangement, etc. The topic has been specially curated to test the quickness and reasoning power of the students. About 25 questions were asked from this section in the exam.

General English

The general English section comprised of 15 questions from topics such as synonyms, antonyms, fill in the blanks, idioms, vocabulary, passage, reading comprehension, jumbled paragraphs, etc. The questions were easy to moderate and the section has been included to test the proficiency of candidates in the English language.

Time Management

Until last year, students had more than a minute to solve a single question but this year, due to the change in exam pattern students just got one minute for one question. Therefore, time management became of utmost importance. Some students were seen struggling in this aspect, however, most were able to pull through.
