JNU Extends Application Deadline for MBA, M.Phil, and Ph.D. – Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), on 1 September 2020, announced that it has extended the deadline for application into MBA, M.Phil, and Ph.D. courses until 21 September 2020. There might be a further extension, but that solely depends upon the concerned authorities. This gives some room to breathe to those who couldn’t apply earlier due to any reason.

JNU Extends Monsoon Semester Registration Deadline – After constant protest by JNU Students’ Union (JNUSU), to put forward the students’ concerns, the JNU administration has decided to extend the deadline to apply for its monsoon semester until 4 September 2020. The campus is not expected to open until 30 September 2020. The major concerns were regarding payment of fees, internet issues, the difficulty for international students, and non-re-evaluation of the previous semester.

IIT Madras HSEE Admit Card Released – On 1 September 2020, the admit card for the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras for Humanities and Social Sciences Examination (HSEE), was released. You can download the admit card from hsee.iitm.ac.in which is the official website. The entrance exam is going to be held on 9 September 2020. Students are advised to go through the instructions carefully and carry hand sanitizer, face mask, and gloves along with their admit card and ID proof.

St. Xavier’s Kolkata UG Admission Merit List Released – The undergraduate merit list for admission into St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, was released on 1 September 2020. The merit list is for admission into various UG courses, including B.A., B.Com, and B.Sc. Students can visit the official website to check their results.

Hike in Registrations for DU Admission 2020 – As per official reports, DU Admission 2020 has seen an overwhelming rise in the percentage of registrations for admission into the Undergraduate and Post-Graduate courses. According to the authorities, the UG registrations increased by a whopping 37% while the PG registrations by 12%. There was not much increase seen for the Doctoral and Research courses.

IIT Delhi to Establish School of Artificial Intelligence as Sixth Milestone – On 2 September 2020, the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi announced its blueprint to establish the School of Artificial Intelligence (ScAI), which will be the sixth school in its campus. Hall Ticket for IGNOU TEE 2020 Likely to be Released on 8 September – Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is expected to release the hall ticket for its Term End Exam (TEE) on 8 September 2020. Students will be able to download it from www.ignou.ac.in once it is released. This is only for the final year students while the rest of the students can expect their respective announcements in December this year.

Final Year Exams for Anna University Scheduled from Third Week of September – The Government earlier, keeping the UGC guidelines in mind, announced for the universities to conduct the final year examinations. Following the announcement, the Controller of Examinations, in a circular to the Regional Officer, stated that Anna University will conduct the final year exams in the third week of September. The exam will be conducted offline with arrangements for those who live far away or are from other states and countries.
